Developing a European Diploma in Psychology

Project carried out with the support of the European Community within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci Programme

Overview of the EuroPsy Project

The EuroPsy project is funded under the EU Leonardo Da Vinci Programme. The project is a 3 year project. It started in November 2001 and is due to finish in October 2003. The overall aim of EuroPsy is to develop a European Diploma in Psychology. EuroPsy's predecessor project, EuroPsyT, which ran from 1999 - 2001, was highly successful in developing a framework for psychologists training across Europe. The project reached the stage of developing a Common Framework of knowledge, skills and competence for psychologists.

The EuroPsy project is expected to have great impact and many beneficiaries

The EuroPsy Partnership contains 16 partner organisations are from 12 countries. We have expanded the EuroPsyT Partnership to include Hungary as a representative of the pre-accession states. They include universities, professional bodies, trade unions, a European network and federation (EFPPA), and a private training consultancy. They are already a strong team.
